Can't connect from winamp to shoutcast server

I've installed winamp 5.03, the latest dsp plugin (1.8.2b), and the latest shoucast server (1.9.4/win32). I opened ports 8000 and 8001 on my router, yet when I try to connect from winamp to my server, it does not.

In the shoutcast source window under the output tab, i click connect and it attempts conection but ends up saying "not connected". In the shoutcast server config file, I've only changed the password while everything else remains default.

This is what I see in my shoutcast server:
*******************************************************************************

** Use "sc_serv filename.ini" to specify an ini file.

Please help me. THanks.

Do you have an encoder slected, do you have localhost as your address in the output tab? Are you playing mp3's? Did you modify srcIP or destIP in the DNAS config?

DJ Cassio,

Yes, I have encoder 1 selected and localhost is my address in the output tab. Yes, I am playing mp3's. I did not modify srcIP or destIP, as I said, the only thing I changed in the DNAS config is the password.

Peace.

I suggest posting your log that shows some kind of error, since the one you posted does not show any errors.

The thing is that my shoutcast server doesn't have an error. I just can't connect to it. Attached is a screenshot of my shoutcast server and source. It looks the same before I press "connect" and after (meaning the status box shows "not connected" the entire time).

I am having the exact same problem. I haven't seen anyone address it yet, but hopefully someone will figure out a fix soon.

Have you setup your encoder itself (in your case encoder 1)?

Also, when you connect using the DSP is it giving you any kind of error?

Neither post shows anything even attempting to connect to the server which indicates something misconfigured at the DSP in Winamp and not your server itself. Also, once connected make sure a mp3 is actively playing in Winamp.

Yes I have set up the encoder. In the attached folder, there are five images: the first four are images of the four different tabs in the source window and the last one is an image when the DSP is connecting. After it connects, it goes back to the original "not connected" image i posted earlier.

When I connect with the DSP, it is not giving any error, it just says "connecting" then "not connected" a second later. And also the mp3 is playing.

here is the link to the images:
