How Do I Stop Update Notification?

As the subject says, I'd like to stop the constant reminder to upgrade Winamp. Two times ago, I upgraded and ended up with that annoying Shoutcast window. I then had to search the forums and finally found a program written to remove it. I then made the mistake of upgrading once again, only to find that the Shoutcast window was reappearing -- only with blank content. Luckily, I use GoBack, so I was able to restore my machine to the older version -- which works just fine, thank you very much.

So, since I'm not really interested in new versions of Winamp that primarily seem designed to push the Shoutcast agenda, how do I defeat the upgrade notification?

Thanks for any help you can provide on this.

1. Winamp > Prefs (Ctrl+P) > General Preferences:
Uncheck "check for new versions at startup"

2. Winamp > Prefs > Station Info:
Uncheck "automatically show info on station tune-in"

3. Upgrade to 5.112 :-p

Winamp > Ctrl+P > General Preferences > uncheck 'Check for new versions of Winamp at Startup' (near the middle of the right plane)

However, As of Winamp 5.11 (and up) there is a built-in option to disable the Station Info Window/Browser...
Winamp > Ctrl+P > General Preferences > Station Info

Thank you - that little pop-up window on winamp startup was driving me nuts. Forgot all about the "check for new versions at startup" checkbox.
