Winamp on OS X doesn't have DNAS Plugin option?
I've run up Winamp on my OS X, Yosemite, but it doesn't have the DNAS Plugin options?
I have also installed the Shoutcast Server - So how do I convince Winamp to talk to the Shoutcast Server? I'm obviously missing something here, but can't see what. Thanks for any help |

The Source DSP plug-in only works with the Windows version. The beta client for Mac has no plug-in system or native functionality to act as a SHOUTcast source.

Thanks, figured that was the case. No worries, I have other streamers.
I just ran up Nicecast. Works very well with Winamp playing. So - set up a playlist in Winamp, and start it. Minimise System volume on the slider. Start Nicecast, and select Winamp as the source. Click Start broadcast Select Share to see what your URL will be. It gives you Local, and Internet. Cool. Local: http://192.168.0.15:8000/listen.m3u Internet: http://5.70.82.197:8000/listen.m3u open you iPhone/iPad what ever, Browser, and plug in one of the URLs, and there's your music. Nice clean interface. You get an hour of clean music on the unregistered version, then it blanks to just hiss Plenty of time to check it out. With Winamp, it's pretty cool. |

the alternative here would be to do this via CLI… but there is a learning curve with that. If you are not comfortable working without a GUI, then the command line versions are not for you.
