It Really Whips The Lama's Baaaaaaaaaah

Grow a pair and put the uncensored clip back.

The new versions of winamp now start with a censored version of the clip we have all grown to love.

Is the old demo.mp3 not replaced when installing a new version? I still have the old one as C:\Program Files\Winamp\demo.mp3.

Oh I see now. It is now demoedit.aac and sounds like shit! HE-AAC and/or SBR sounds worse than MP3 artifacts.

There were some requests to "tame" the demo or to have a option of it not being played at the time of install.

Anyways, lets not forget the super censored version from the good old Winamp3 days.

I wonder if anyone can remember the demo you've attached Jonny.

I wouldn't call it censored, I still must laugh, when I listen to it, hehe.

The new location for the demo since a few versions is the multi user path.

So I guess you have 3 demo sounds now on your system.

Well, "censored" in the sense that 'ass' is not part of the demo.

I remember the wa3 one.. way better than the new one. That sound terrible.

I guess they must then remove the easter egg too in the default classic skin

Come on developers... drop that stupid new demo and use the wa3 one again if you cant use the 'ass' version.

ClassicPro© v2.01 : This plugin allows you to use cPro skins in Winamp. ClassicPro skins are all SUI skins and loads very quickly. ClassicPro skins is even easier to skin than Winamp Classic skins. A new layout have been added since version 2.

Which Easter Egg? If you mean this one...

...as you can see, it's still there.

How to show/access it...

%appdata%\Winamp does not exist so it cannot be there. Anyway demoedit.aac won't be written over demo.mp3, now will it.

And I remember the WA3 demo clip. It wasn't as good but I will have to stick it in my collection.

Yup, thankfully this easteregg was fixed for 5.54, it was broken in the last version.

And i have to agree, the new demo really sucks.

J_Darnley: ok, but where to hell should i know, that you're still using a single user profile?

I guess you couldn't know that. Yes I am still using a single user profile. Aren't all the oldies or rather long time users here doing the same?

The Easter Egg of N U L (esc) L (esc) S O F T in Bento rocks! Thanks I didnt know that!

I personally didn't like that censored version either... Perhaps you could have chosen something else.

In Bento, with a track playing, successively type in N U L (esc) L (esc) S O F T (case-insensitive) and watch what happens. To stop whats happening again type in the same sequence.
P.S, my CPU usage went upto 20-25%.

Guys....

Does anyone have the extra clip in version 4 where it goes:
WINAMP, it really whips the lama's ass ... "From Every Direction"

I've been looking for it for a long time now, but I can't seem to find it...

Ahh.. When was the .demo song replaced by the new censored version? The good old .demo that Koopatrooper posted is/was the best one.

Heh, what about putting the old .demo back to %AppData%\winamp folder, just to let the file be there as an alternative to the new one? Then we can have both..

or we could just have the old one back. anyone offended by the word ass (especially in reference to the posterior) has bigger issues than Winamp can help with. I heard the word ass 30 some times on the radio just on my 15 min drive to work this morning. Hell I'd probably die if I heard it 1 time when i did a fresh install of Winamp.
