I am so confused.. help me please

I just downloaded the newest vesion.. rc8
its great except for one thing that is confusing me to hell

is an enqueue function standard in winamp 5?
when i right click a file it gives me to option to enqueue but when the next song comes on, its not the one i picked

if it does not come standard.. will it come standard in the final release?

and yes. i have searched through lots of posts and become even more confused.

You're talking about Winamp3 style enqueue, yes?
Winamp3 was a separate product, built from scratch on the wasabi platform.
Winamp 5 is the direct upgrade from Winamp 2, built on the same Win32 core.
Winamp and Winamp3 are two different players entirely,
and the Winamp3 style enqueue has never been a feature of Winamp.

Winamp3's playlist was a wasabi component.
Winamp 5's playlist is the same one from Winamp 2.x
Winamp does not support wasabi components (.WAC files).

Sure, it's in the official Wishlist,
but as to if and how it will be implemented is a different matter.

The "Enqueue" feature of Winamp just adds files (from Explorer or the Library) to the end of the playlist. It's always been that way in Winamp 2.x
Note how there's no actual "Enqueue" command in the playlist context menus.

DrO is currently working on coding an Extended Playlist plugin
to emulate the Winamp3-style playlist.
But it's still in its very early alpha stages.

DrO has also created a Jump To File Extra plugin,
which can be used to enqueue (play next) files in the playlist.
This is 90%+ complete and stable, and ready for use.
So, in the meantime, why not give JTFE a try?

Maybe Nullsoft will find a way to implement "Enqueue/Dequeue" in Winamp 5.01 or later?

No, Enqueue is not standard. "Enqueue" in Winamp 2.xx/5 means "Add to end of Playlist.

No it won't; no new features will be implemented between now and Final, just bug fixes.

For now try using Jump to File Extra... It's the closest you'll get.
