Is it possible to increase playback speed ??

Hi Everyone,

With Winamp, is it possible to increase the playback speed of an MP3? Windows Media does this (Anywhere from 1.1 times the normal speed to x2) and I thought perhaps Winamp is also able to do it. This would be a really cool feature to have when listening to slow podcasts.

Any help or feedback would be extremely appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

Winamp has a built in dsp plugin that will change the speed from 1/2x to 2x.

Winamp > Prefs > DSP/Effects plugins > Nullsoft Signal Processing Studio > Configure.
Load the 'justin - simple pitch and tempo (half-2x) control.sps' and Enable processing.

I'm assuming podcasts are 'audio on demand' and not 'live' broadcasts here. You will run into buffer overrun/underrun' problems with live streams.

If you also need to preserve the pitch, take a look here.
