Weight Loss methods (What has worked for you?)

I was recently challenged by my Brother & Father in law to a friendly bet to see who could lose weight 20lbs the fastest. All three of us are different ages, builds, and occupy different professions.

My Brother-in-law is a cable installer who was weighing in at 200lbs, My Father-in-law is a Iron worker who was a slender 235lbs, And I being a hotel manager at a curvy 240lbs. Needless to say I was obviously the dark horse. Within a month my father in law won the bet weighing in at 205lbs, where as my brother in law and I dropped 18lbs each.

It's been weeks since that bet, I feel greater than ever now at a healthier weight at 218lbs, however this last 18lbs have proven to be the hardest since my motivation (the prize money) is no longer a factor. Does anyone else have any helpful tips other than a good diet and exorcise (thats how I eventually lost the 22lbs up till this point.)

I hear anorexia is effective. Has a few side effects though.

In all seriousness, good diet + exercise IS the only way. The only otehr tip is drink plenty of water and juices. Halt as many sugary/carbonated drinks as you can.

you could fast for a week, but you'll gain it all back as soon as you start eating.

salads with grilled chicken for about two weeks (10 days really). You'll kick off about 10-15 pounds.

Oh, did I forget to mention, you only eat once a day too ... and exorcise --- daily.

And by exorcise I mean run about 5 - 7 miles.

Yeah it sucks. So bad actually that I quit drinking beer.

Being poor unable to afford food works for me.

Really its all about exercise and portion size. You can still eat all the stuff you want but just don't over do it. When it comes to food everything in moderation. Exercise especially cardio. People make the mistake of thinking that not eat will help you lose weight it doesnt it jsut slows the metabolism down because the body then goes into survivor mode because it thinks there is a lack of food so it stores the fat.

Hoped that made sense I was typing and playing madden at the same time

"It is, in the end, whatever the Hell I want it to be,
And when I'm through with it, it's gonna blow a hole,
This wide, straight through the worlds own idea of itself.
They're throwing bottles at your house.
Come on, lets go break their arms."

A really physical job also helps

Workout like a slave and get paid for it; Yeah!

I started travelling round the world. Lost 18kg in the first month because I couldn't afford to eat in Europe. Hiked up to Everest base camp, lost another 6kg. Give it a shot

Exercise, eat less, and two dulcolax every two days or so should put you on the road to victory.

I am so important I feel the need to let it be known like a liberal discovering the internets for the first time. Uh hur hur hur. I also wash myself with a rag on a stick.

Using your brain a lot also helps burn calories

lose weight

Hi,

I used to be pretty obese and started putting on a lot of weight especially on my thighs and bottom in my late thirties. I started exercising as often as possible and also cut down on a lot of high calorie stuff. Unfortunately I hardly managed to lose any weight at all. I then recently read an article by a lady who claimed that she managed to lose nearly half of her weight using a particular weight loss product. I tried it out and it actually worked really well. Within 4 months I managed to shave off 65 pounds completely. The results were pretty amazing and I feel so much healthier and energetic now without having to carry all that extra weight around. You can read more about the lady's article at the link below

I wouldn't recommend spam. It's high in useless content, low in value, and tends to just clog up the system.

Spam is a brand name for a canned meat product containing ham, pork, salt, flavorings, and preservatives that are mixed and cooked under vacuum pressure. There are other brands of similar canned pork meat products, but Spam—made by Hormel Foods Corporation—is the original and the best-selling of the brands.

The standard Spam can is brick-shaped and holds 7 oz (198 g) of meat. A 2-oz (57-g) serving contains 170 calories, provides 7 g of protein, 140 calories of fat, and has 0.75 g of sodium. It contains small amounts of cholesterol and iron. Americans eat approximately 3.8 cans per second. Two American plants produce 44,000 cans of Spam every hour. Hawaii consumes the most Spam in the world—about four million cans yearly (it is particularly popular in sushi).

Spam is an important protein source and economical as well. Unopened cans require no refrigeration and Spam has an indefinite shelf life because it is heat-sealed within the tin. It can, therefore, be shipped all over the world without spoiling. Thus, it is an important food source in many places where fresh meat is difficult to obtain or expensive (such as Hawaii and Guam). Spam has become a kitschy favorite with Spam t-shirts and cookbooks selling quite well. Spam has also made it onto the worldwide web with several websites dedicated to the product. The term spam has also come to mean unwanted junk e-mails received on personal computers.

2 ounces is a serving?

serving sizes should be regulated, and fun size should last a week.

Exercise and diet control are the best ways for the weight loss.
Do exercise specially cardio exercise in your regular routine and spend at least 30 minutes daily to burn all extra fat. Also replace your diet plan from junk and fast foods to organic and raw veggies foods to lose your unnecessary weight.
