well i am definetly not u, my ps skills are not as good as u, i saw ur boom skin and it is amazing. but this skin, well i hade the basic layout on paper, and my ps skills didn't allow me to port the exact same thing i was supposed to do. but as i said in my first post, i just wanna finish this skin, and learn all the aspects.

and another thing, i kinda like my skins "SIMPLE" small and easy to use, i don't like big multifunctional extra fashionabl skins (although they are cool) i mean there are lots of cools skins out there but i never use them i end up using some simple skin like "Dirty amp" aka "Simplicity" i really like this skin.

so for u it may suck big time but for me it is really one of the best skins i ever tried to do. hehe.

but anyways opinion appreciated, thanx a lot, my next try will definetly be better.

I just felt like you were being a little harsh there with omarello and i felt that what you said was a little out of line to say to someone on their first wa3 skin, oh and when you give opinions give reasons why you have these opinions otherwise he doesn't learn what to do. but anyways no hard fellings AvexTrax just covering omarellos back

thanx rhino, youve been a good sport. although it is not my first wa3 skin, but it is my first real attempt, the others where just testing out and learning. but thanx anyway.
and also thanx to avextrax, because giving ur opinion streight out will help me a lot.
thanx both, and hope u don't go flaming each other.

i will update u soon on SYP skin, the main window is almost finished i am gonna start to do the other components, but i am not sure if i should wait for beta4. hopefully a .wal file will be available on deskmod somtime soon.

cheers.

ok this is getting off topic here is a screen shot of the latest thing i have right now.

the volume and seek stuff i HAVE and GOING to change, but i need suggestions on how to do them, so please suggestions people. how should the shape be??

also in the screen shot there is one color preset that i found, but i didn't quite try many combinations yet. i can't find a preset with several differnt colors, so this one all the gammagroups are assigned the same color nearly, but i am gonna try to find good combos.

the 2nd drawer will have this color thing i was askin about, so i might leave it empty till this option is implemented or try to find a work around.

heres a screeeeeni

Simplicity Roxors your Boxors, Props to me. LOL
Thanks for the support. I have always believed
the cavet of "form follows fuction" I like fancy
good looking skins made by talented graphically
inclinded folks, But I prefer a simple easy to use
skin with everything a mouse click away. Defined
and easy to use buttons.

My opinion is that this is an excellent skin, Built for
people like myself. Keep at it and it may replace ZX1100
as my default. "Shameless self-promotion" "check sig"
Sure it could use a bit of graphical tweaking. But who are
you builting this for. I tend to use my own skins the most.
So I always skin for myself. That way if i'm pleased with it
then it was a useful endeavor. And if I like it, then there's
a chance others will too. Maybe not all, but alot will.
Any WA3 skin is a good skin. Just cause it's a bear to make
one. I give anybody credit who tries, fail as they will on
many attemps. I always encourage beginners to keep trying.

You just never know. Simplicity is a crap little fuctional skin.
The components aren't even skinned, But it's the #1 downloaded
skin on deskmod because it's easy to use. Thats got to be the reason.
Cause it shocks and amazes me that it is. Functionallity is the
way to go. I won't even use a skin that I have to wonder what
button does what.

My 2 cents...

Pusher....

phewwwwwww. wow this took me a while to read. but thanx a lot that was one encouraging speech, hehe. By the way u wouldn't beleive that the inspiration for me doing that skin was Simplicity (Dirty Amp) and it is my favorite skin, i use it all the time (except when i am using mine). and yes i skin for my self but showing the public what i got just helps me to increase and mold my skills,

thanx a lot. hope u like my finished skin

I don't think I like the idea of still having the PL/EQ drawers in winshade mode

it seems too big to be winshade

eh

maybe it's just me; but even when I have it on winshade mode I like still being able to change the volume, and other crap like that.....I like keeping winamp as always on top, and just a small thing in the corner that I can easily control and whatnot

in other words, I don't like having to hit a button to open a drawer before I can change the volume, and then another button to open another drawer to hit the next button

ya know what I mean?

yeah i know, i like it this way too. my first idea was to have everything over there with no drawer, but i usually have my songs on shuffle and repeat, and i don't really use the volume and seek stuff. and if i wanna change to the next song i use shortcut keys.
So really this skin has the functionality that suits me (no offence) but because i rarely use those stuff i decided to put them in drawers as to save space and have more space for the song name and the time.

hope u didn't get offended by my reply, no offence was inteded but it is just that making it this way is better for me.

neways i am really busy right now, i don't have much time on the computer because of family using it, so it is gonna take me a while to post the .wal file.

hm.. i really liked it, as it was before u changed the texture. but gray and red just don't fit together, though i like both colors. especially for a font...btw: SHORTCUTS RULE! ... i'm navigating my whole computer mostly through shortcuts, and so the skin'd be very useful for me, too!

Frozen skins: Gravestone Betaskins: Mushroom ::-:: The Claw

Very nice, I'd like it smaller of course but hey, that ok. May I suggest that the default Gray be a lighter one, or just have a color theme for a lighter one if you would rather.

Thumbs up

Okay first of all Great Skin!

I don't mean to bitch but I think the EQ is a bit plain ... I mean the skin is zany, the font is zany so why stick with the WA2 style EQ?

That's just my $0.02¢.
