RMO shoutcast site
https://rmo.shoutcast.com/Settings/Radio/create
Guys.. Do we "need" to login and fill this all out if our station has been up and running for a long period of time? pros of filling it out or not filling it out? cons of filling it out or not filling it out? thanks. |

Are you saying my station using 2.4.7 wont be listed in the directory unless I download 2.5 and fill out the RMO site? I need a real answer and not a guess. |

No, you don't have to.
If you were a new station using DNAS 2.5 and needed an authhash to get listed, then you would need to register. Benefits of registering An account at accounts.shoutcast.com (which may be used in future for e.g. having a site profile and saving favorite stations etc). An account at rmo.shoutcast.com to see a list of all your stations in one place, with free stats (requires v2.5) and control panel. Support for being listed under 5 different genres... when the YP will support being listed under 3-5 genres in the future. Support for station logo and station description & tags, for enhancing/increasing placing in search results in a future site update. Optional monetization if you trigger ads Free listing on radionomy.com Free 'social share' feature Support for TuneIn Air API Free embeddable html5 player |

All what I have tested it should be same with liquidsoap - or better it should be the same as you know it from the version before. The most changes on 2.5 are related to the Monetization options - far away from real improvements.
