Private stream over (W)LAN or WWW

Since a long time now I am looking for a way to built up a radio stream that my Sagem Du@l Radio can receive. So the Situation is as follows. My Sagem Du@l radio 700 plays Radio streams from the internet. On the vTuner platform I can ad new radio streams by simply pasting the URL. From my experience it seems that only streams with the format *url*.m3u work. Now I was allways wishing to set up my own radio stream to run a Player (WMP, WA, MM etc.) on my computer, select and play the music on my computer and stream this signal to the radio in the kitchen. For those who were about to ask: Yes, I could set up a Media Server and select music on the radio in the kitchen but seeking songs on the Radio is just a pain in the a** since browsing is very slow. I would not mind if the stream works through the Internet or LAN but I would prefer it to be privat so I dont have to worry about legal issues. Is this possible with the shoutcast?
