Mark as compilation

Sorry but I just wanted to know what this does and is it worth it to press this button?

either i've missed something but where is this 'Mark as compilation' button you're referring to? or is this something possibly related to ml_ipod? (the only thing i can find that vaguely comes close to that from a quick search).

please see my sig, winamp destroys comp tags.

winamp will set a comp flag on ipxd devices if used to xfer the files over and the AA tag = Various Artists, but i doubt thats what u mean...

i think the windows explorer, properties menu has similar sounding choices, but thats not winamp.
