mighty sweet. I might be convinced to do it if no one steps up in a week or so. But I couldn't work on it until i get Exagon up to the current release. Which at the rate I am working might take a while.

Do you have any of the coding done yet? I'm just wondering what the feasability of this is, because I'm not sure you can detect screen resolution with MAKI. I might be wrong about that though. Also, I think you might have problems with a playlist or media library on a drawer as those components seem to always try to force themselves to the top.

I must say it looks nice, but you might have to make some compromises.

code:

int screenwidth = system.getViewportWidth();
int screenheight = system.getViewportHeight();

Although that will not return the correct resolution. It returns the values after the taskbar and other desk bands have been accounted for.

Uh, I guess I WAS wrong about that. My foresight has served me well. Well good then, because that means this bad ass skin is a more likely to happen. Man, I really like those pixel icons!

Symbiotica???? hmmm, i think it's a great skin, but i can't see any similarities - anyway just look at the date of the .gif, it was made before symbiotica came out

i was told it was possible to detect the res. - so ill just trust that

anyway thanks for the comments - hope ill find a coder

Based on the screenshot, you don't need to have specific resolutions (i.e. 768x1024). You just get the viewport width and adjust the layout for that. Use absolute positioning for the all the elements starting from the left up to the songticker area. Make that use a relative width, and for the toggleable area after that, use a relative x value to have them always stay at the far right.

If you place everything in groups you shouldn't have too much trouble getting it to look right on all possible resolutions.

The layout as it is now excludes 800x600 and 640x480 users, I'd like to see at least 800x600 possible.

-=Gonzotek=-

I was away for a while.
But I'm feeling much better now.

yeah i have been thinking about this - the best solution to this problem would be to put thinger and shuffle, repeat and xfade buttons in to the toggable area aswell - put then i would be a real bitch to fill out the top of the screen on higher resolutions - so i dont know what i prefer - any oppinions on this?

very awesome looking

it'd be really cool if it could be docked at the top or bottom like the spinner client could.

Hi!

Wow, I am flattered and impressed! Go ahead and release it, but please
make sure to say where the original theme can be found!

It does not follow the design standard 100%, but it's nice. Plz do he
generic colours if you can!

*bump*

wow, i havn't been over to this side in a while, and this is tops. useful, out of the way while having real buttons, and not typical at all. Rock.

anyway, it makes me sad that you're not planning a 1600 version (for those of us with this, a little wasted space in the middle can't hurt ) and that the attaching to the start bar (or just bottom for those of us with the bar on top) is for the future. in any case i eagerly await this release

keep it up guys. nice to see something different for once.

Question...

I was just wondering what that font is in the screenshot?
It is the same font used in the Nonstep theme too.
I would like this font.

Thanks!

And the skin looks like it will rock. This would definitely become my default skin.

Im actually realy happy that you remembered this skin and brought it up

real life is a little more important than winamp skins!! take your time, i just wondering if this was going to turn into one of those skins that never get finished. (*trying not to point any fingers*)

good luck on your next assesment test.
