I hate rules. Where have rules ever gotten anyone? Rules are what is enevidably going to make me have to pay for mp3's. The record industry's just scared of new technology. Just like Sonique people that come here. Scared scared scared!!! Every time I read a thread by them I think to myself..."Looking for a kickass mp3 player to get idea's from? You've come to the right place!" Because I know the guys at winamp won't rest until they have completely taken over the mp3 player world and maybe even the world in general. That's what Winamp 3 is all about!!!!!!!!

it'z all about 4N4RK33!!!!
kA05 RuLZ!!@$

</cynicism>

You hate rules. You're probably also 16 or so and the only rules you have to worry about is whether or not your mom lets you play PlayStation past 11 on a school night.

The "rules" will take away your free MP3's.... well... First off, I hate the RIAA. I'm not one of these "Compensate Britney Spears by buying her CD" fools. I think the RIAA is being "found out" now for the defrauding SOB's that they are, finally.

But - reality check. Where the hell do you think these MP3s come from? Artists who "make music just for the love of music, man, rock on!" Yeh. Right... If there weren't rules set up and money put aside for the purpose, you wouldn't even have a Limp Bizkit in existence to download MP3s of while rolling on E and masturbating into a dirty sock to J-Lo's latest gyrations while paused on your dad's Tivo.

Nobody's figured out what the answer to the mp3 problem is yet. But two things are for sure:

1> "KAOS KAOS EVERYTHING FOR FREE ANARCHY DOWN WITH ANYTHING THAT ISNT FREE!!@# FUKK DA RIAA" isn't going to work. They own the rights, they pay the bands that make the money.

2> All the little teenage bastards made it loud and clear that they wouldn't fork over $4.25 a month of their allowances to Napster to allow them to continue the model they had while reimbursing artists ($20.00/month from Mom minus $4.25 for napster = less Marlboros to buy with a fake ID and look 'hard' with while wearing your backwards baseball cap and your pants around your ankles)

... "Rules" aren't what "make you have to pay for mp3s". Capitalism and the fact that we even have an economy is what may make you have to pay for mp3s. I'll tell you more about that once your parents tell you where babies come from. I don't agree with it, but neither did Tim McVeigh and look where that's gotten him.

Without rules on this board, I could post 1000 messages per thread that say nothing but "k0rn RuLZ DIS WINAMP AND UR ASS WILL B KICKED!@$@!$$!@". Is that the kind of place you want this to be? Oh wait... it kind of already is.

All you hard-ass little Slim Shady wannabe's think anarchy just ROX0RZ until it's time a fellow anarchist busts into your room and threatens to blow your head off with a shotgun just so he can take two Heinekens from your fridge and your asian pr0n collection zip disk. I'd bet in that case, you'd think rules are pretty OK pretty damn fast.

So hey, next time you see me in your hand-me-down '91 Honda Civic with a GIANT MOTHER FUCKING TAILPIPE while blasting Linkin Park out of your cheap-ass Rockford Fosgates, give me a honk, flash your blue lights at me, and I'll give you the finger, and we'll leave it at that.

You can proceed to call me a fagot now.

Anarchy and lack of social control result in nothing but destruction, rules are needed for advancment, if it werent for basic rules in coding none of us would be using computers. If it weren't for rules in construction we would all be living in caves still. While some rules are unfair and aggrivating, some are needed.

Okay, the record industry isn't scared of new tech, they are just trying to figure out how to make it profitable because we live in a capitalist society, unfortuantely communism is too idealistic, socialism is the best compromise but americans are too greedy for that.

I am a Sonique Person, i didn't come here because i was scared or trying to get ideas for a kick ass mp3 player, i just wanted to see what the community here was like and to get info about WA3. We don't mind WA people on our boards as long as they are civil and constructive, or flaming a moron... We don't like people that have the player stuck up their ass and no real reasons for using it other than "|†*®ó><". My reason is mostly the interface of Sonique and the support for freeform. There are other reasons that will be more important because it looks like both players are going to handle both interface and freeform very well.

Beisides, isn't the goal of any software to capture the largest market share possible?

And the largest marketshare would be everyone using both players.

Wow, lordxu. You get the Not-A-Tool award for the day. Even your sig gives me glee.

You didn't come here to fight? Wow. I guess everything isn't just an analogue to CLAN AZZK1X0R.

Of course, I will change my mind as soon as Johnny Largepants +0wnZ+ me on IRC.

yes... those speaches are good.
As to hating rules, I really don't think you have a point. Rules are what define our life... without them life would be completely meaningless.
bluekeydesign - I like picture in the sig... why don't you use it in the Sonique forums? Hmm.. well, blue on blue.. guess not

I nearly fell asleep reading that speech. Not because it was boring, but because I am very tired. Good speech though.

In support of aggressive sex with llamas, and freedom from the obligation to explain.

I may be considered young, but even so, that's one damn good speech icedragon, really splits the forum users into 2 groups!
