Eurosong

Yes, it's that time again. A show that's so lame it's hilarious is on...

Missed the first 10 songs or so.

But I managed to spot a hot Macedonian chick with a bit-better-than-pathetic song, some Poles in hillarious costumes (including a "cool" guy "rapping" something lame that ends with "Gasolina", and a guy with a green wig), a Russian guy with an abysmal song and a mullet, some fugly Turkish woman with a ton of make up and a worse-than-abysmal song, and, umm.... the Finns. Words cannot express their performance.

Yes, it's pathetic, but I'm laughing my ass off here.

/goes back to watching.

Edit: Iceland..... incredible.... just incredible. I don't remember anyone booing on Eurosong. And this got that.

That was just the semi-final, the worst is yet to come.

Yea.

So, the russian mullet guy is in the finals, the macedonian chick too, the bosnian balkanballad is in, so's Finland (dunno, what if someone showed up with a GOOD song from the genre), the fugly Turk's in, the (sounds familiar) Swedish woman's in, and so are Lithuania, Ukraine, Ireland and Armenia, that I missed.

So is this where America stole the Idol idea from?

Edit: Nope, doesn't appear so.

Hah.... I'd root for them too if they weren't so pathetically bad in what they do.

The Croatian song is, err... something that should be really seen.

dsfs: It's a music festival in which every (well, almost, Italy dropped out forever it seems after a clearly superior song by them lost to some cheesy/crappy shit) European country participates with a song. It's supposed to represent the best each country has to offer, and yet, because it simply MUSTN'T offend or surprise in any way 60+ old people (that's why the Finns surprised me), ends up being loaded with abysmal ballads and the worst Euro dance has to offer.

For example the utterly, completely, totally abysmal song from Iceland this year almost got disqualified because the original lyrics contained the word "fucking".

Tho... I'm pretty sure she said "ooh, a golden shower" after being showered in sparkly things once.

No, this was:

Ha.... I could appreciate if she made fun out of herself well, but this fails even as that kind of song. It's just plain crap...

She is obviously making fun of Britney Spears-a-likes (and having fun while doing it), and some parts of the joke are funny (like the bodyguards and the way she looks and acts), but all in all, I've seen a lot funnier stuff, and the song is fail.

I was watching some of the preformances, it seems to me that Finland's contribution is one of the best. Most of the rest of the songs are so bad they're funny.

Ah, it's at times like these that I'm proud to be an American.

This was the first clip that I found for Croatia. Sadly, I was more interested in the visualizations in the background. How would you rate that preset?

The DM in this one isn't too shabby, but the preset is pretty much ruined by a bad colour scheme and the fact that the hottest participant in this years Eurosong is standing in the front of it. Concentrate your efforts on the visual part of your presets, and do release packs rather than single presets !
1.5 or 2 / 5

Our Eurosong qualifications use AVS for the last few years. Sadly, I've never seen a Croatian preset used. Morons.

I think that preset is some godawful rip-mix from duo's brainstorm.

They don't border enough countries.

Let's face it, the Eurovision's become an embarrassment (not that it wasn't already). The sooner it's axed, the better.
