Fucking Off in IT Class

This is the most pointless class I have ever had the misfortune of being entered into... All we do is sit around and watch Microsoft Powerpoint. The keyboards are all clogged up so it's pissy to type, you have to pretty much exert 7 tons of pressure per square inch to push the keys down.
(Wow, I r strong)
Not to mention the work is piss easy.
Ah well, at least I get to fuck around on the forumd instead of doing 'work.'
I haven't done 'work' in 6 years at least -- Yet they keep passing me. Whatever.
IT SUCKS.

huh? Are you complaining about not having to do anything? I don't get it. I loved being able to fuck off in class. It's like the only way to beat the system.

Some people would prefer to actually engage in study at school.

Kinda reminds me of my networking class... The work was different from an IT class, though. I actually quite enjoyed networking, and we quite often found ourselves having Quake 2 deathmatches over the LAN.

As did I. But if the class was bullshit from the beginning, I made it either nap time or Art. If the class has always been bullshit, than fuck it, have a good time.

I've cleared every game on mario allstars on a snes emulator a couple of times. The work involves microsoft office. Oooh not an entire spreadsheet program. Excuse me while i shit myself at the sheer difficulty of using BASIC to make something.

Then again, without the distraction of class, that means I could work on my C++ project. That would be cool.

I love proving teachers wrong or making acceptions to thier rules, even telling the class a different way to go about something.

What with my personality, I normally come off sounding pretty sarcastic and even condescending, and that throws teachers off guard and into the "I'm smarter than you" bracket.
Once I've got them in there, I can make them say ridiculous things. Classrooms are about the only place I ever really felt confident about myself.

Powerpoint is a program that offers much functionality. I don't know how that is relevant but it saved my ass several times.
Anyway, as long as you are learning something...

I am so important I feel the need to let it be known like a liberal discovering the internets for the first time. Uh hur hur hur. I also wash myself with a rag on a stick.

*snicker* How did the teacher suggest going about "recovery of lost passwords"?

I didn't even have a proper IT teacher for 5 months of my last year at school. We had substitute teachers that just said, do the work book, which was shit anyway.

Bring your own keyboard or be like me and all the other nerds and bring your own laptop. Just don't play shitty music and say this is so cool man ugh yeah and stuff. Ugh there was this guy but I wont get into that.

Finish all the work for the week in one day and use the class to do other shit. Make the best out of your awesome situation. Not doing so would deny how awesome the situation is.

So today in IT class, the teacher goes off for an hour about how to search for material on the internet.

"Has anyone here been on the net before?"
*Everyone raises hands*
"How many people have computers with net?"
*Everyone raises hands*
"When you guys look on the net for stuff do you ever have problems finding what you need?"
*Crickets chirp*

He still goes off for an hour about THE AMAZING FUNCTIONS OF GOOGLE AND LYCOS OMG and the difference between a Search Engine and a Directory. Borin'...

Now, did you actually have to pay for this school? Or is this some night school for idiots?

If I was in that class, I would've told to talk about something else rather than wasting my time about something everyone in the class knows.

BWHAHAH. Good times.

You should have told him about the AMAZING FUNCTIONs of asking a forum. It's usually even more effective than God.. err. "Google". Yeah, I still get those mixed up.

Although, sometimes you get the smartass response (from someone like me).

Stop complaingin here and tell it to your teacher. Tell him/her that you already know all this stuff and let the class get into more difficult items of import.

You will find that even though you and most of the people already know a lot of the material that you are being taught, you are being told it for a reason, and that is in most IT exams, you are expected to give an answer in very precise language, with technical terminology used. So with the search engines, you may hav to talk about Boolean operations and so on.

My math teacher always puts a 'brain-teaser' on the board at the start of class, They're easy of hell, But he gives abstract instructions like 'Make 4 squares by moving 2 of these lines' And every time I complete it, he says 'You can't do that. You're not allowed to <insert something here>.'
Every time he says something like that I talk him into a corner about how if he wants me to follow specific rules about something, he better well damn tell me the rules, and I follow what I see in front of me. If it says move 2 lines, I'll move 2 lines. I can't read his mind about any other rules he makes up in his head.
It's quite funny ^_^

After I beat it he said you have to have squares only.
eg.
(This isn't the actual answer, He just said that you can't have unfinished boxes after I completed it with finished boxes)
