.srt subtitles on winamp??

Greetings to everyone, maybe you could help me.

I have a .wmv movie and the .srt subs for it, I was wondering if you can view the movie with the subs using winamp?

yeah, well, I haven't been able to open them with WMP, maybe I'm just doing it wrong.

any input?

Thanks a lot!

I looked at filext for .srt and the first option that came up was BSPlayer subtitle, so maybe you should see if it plays them.

The next option was DVD subtitle file, with a link to http://zuggy.wz*****

If that doesn't help, the best places for finding info about things like that are http://forum.doom9.org/ and http://www.divx-digest.com/

You can also use DirectVobSub (=VSFilter) for subtitles in Winamp or every other player of your choice. Just put the subtitle file in the same folder as the video file and give it the same name as the video file.

Directvobsub: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/DirectVobSub.htm

If you think that's too inconvenient, then using The KMPlayer would be a good option. It has built in subtitle support.

The KMPlayer: http://www.kmplayer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4094

(Since Winamp is not mainly a video player, I hope that this second suggestion is not a problem.)
