Some people might be disappointed, as there isn't a whole heap of new features, mainly just replacements and fixes.
Hopefully, everyone else will be fairly happy though....

Still loads to do, but it's definitely in a very stable and usable state now :-)

Final testing stages first, so watch this space over the next few hours/days/weeks (delete as applicable).

So i thought this might be an opportunity to ship some new and old presets. I suggest, i take Ryan Geiss favorite list and add my personal favorite selection. I'm also looking directly at you, Martin. I couldn't tell which ones by you were not supposed to be released like this. Just say if you have any obligations. I will have to go and sift through hundreds of my own mixes and mashes and reduce it to a best-of.
Anyway, this is a call for participation. Just add a zip file with your "must-haves" here.

Hi Flexi. Long time no see!
I don't have any reservations but would need to exclude a few presets which reportedly caused problems on some video cards, even crashing winamp entirely, probably due to bugs in either milkdrop itself or DirectX related dlls.
I'll make a zip with my selection. When would we need it ?

I was always watching you No I've been quite busy and would have a ton to share (Google Anypixel, Kinect websocket webgl fluid sim, butterchurn, or most recently a WebGL point cloud loader)

I noticed not all were rigorously attributed and credit all authors. Fair enough, i must say I'm fine - those are pretty dope mixes. I thought i could get more done until tomorrow. I'm gonna bring my own projector and my notebook with this list to a Samhain Psy Festival.

Martin, yes i ran into problems with at least one preset: resonant twister reliably crashes my whole Winamp instance. i have no idea. But in the crash log file is among others also a dump of the shader code to find

Last night at the Psy Party, I've selected a random bunch of mixes which worked well projected on a rather dark red and green tent fabric. Still so much more to go through.

This is an old one, but IMHO deserves a spotlight. It's VERY visually pleasing and harmonic with a very nice beat detection.

I wish there were more presets like this, with a more controlled coloring (not always so phychedelic) and a visual identity discernible from miles..

I remember this one. I think it's the only one he (ZeroTrinity) ever made.

I will make a collection of my presets soon and include the Zen Walk, where I amended a few bugs in the meantime. It's a rather special thing and not a general purpose... I am not sure whether it should be bundled with winamp. I'll leave that to Flexi.

"Not to be confused with".. DrO's project is independent, based on 5.666 with A LOT OF improvements of his own, while a 5.8 official version (beta) is due to be release apparently soon, it won't have almost any new features but it's.. (mainly just replacements and fixes to make Winamp freeware again).

downloaded it and designed a few scenes. But when I found that my machine had not completed the rendering over the entire weekend, I lost interest. Still, if you have a reasonably powerful machine and like this style of computer generated fractals, it is worth a try.

The closest to a "working" visualizer we'll get are some mashups people made from his animations.

Oh yes, I have mentioned also "Incendia" in my big Devious Journal on deviantART. I myself have some other artwork-software installed: Terragen Classic, Apophysis 2.0, Mandelbulber, XAOS. Last weekend I checked them, but also many different image-editing-software, and so many exercises are necessary now, also I will need very much time for my own Space Nebula Images...

I have looked into "My_List_Of_Skins_And_Presets_by_Sternenmaschinebine.txt" with the latest update from 20th November. 8 presets are not in my presets folders. And I have to change that, although I could go from 10038 to nearly 10500 or 11000 presets, because then I say, all "MegalomaGreg Presets" and mabye also all "the lesser evil mixes", all "grind my glitch up" etc...

It has been a while since I've posted in this topic. I checked the twitter feed and I assume development is still underway. First off, thank you so much for the endorsement of my preset @ V8, Victhor. I felt a sense of direction and that perhaps my efforts have been meaningful to the community because of that. I would like to make a couple of updates here for the record.

I am assuming that v12a will be my final version of Star Forge, and I am setting out for development on Acid Mandala, which already looks pretty good, so I'll upload that here and post updates in the Star Forge topic if there are any.
