Someone Please Help A.s.a.p.

I am currently using Windows98 and I have downloaded ml_ipod and the nullsoft software and when I connect my Ipod to winamp it keep saying Error opening IPod database and when I tryed to detect it, it said No IPod dected but when i connect it to my computer it starts to charge up. can anyone help me if there is a way in usin Windows 98 with winamp. Oh and I also have a Mini IPod
