Command line mp3 player for Linux (shoutcast compatible)

I'm looking for a command line mp3 player for Linux that is compatible with shoutcast streams (mpg123?). I already have the Shoutcast server setup on a Linux machine and it seems to be working fine. However I need to play the incoming stream through the soundcard on the server itself somehow. I tried mpg123 but that didn't seem to work somehow (HTTP 404 error?).

All help appreciated.
