Completely new input to Winamp

I know that there must be someone out there that can figure out how to make this work. It's a two part thing, you create a device driver for a virtual sound device, like a virtual sound card. Then you create a winamp input plugin that would connect to the "output" of that virtual sound device and use it almost as a line in. The entire purpose of it being that you want to use the audio output from another program and run it through winamp, either for the dsp, vis, or for my main wish, the shoutcast source... I do realize that this may not be an easy task, and if no one knows how to do it, I'll understand, but I vow to one day make this a reality. Unfortunately I have no knowledge yet of either device drivers, etc, or input plugins, I came here seeking feedback and possibly if others knew of something like this in existance, or had the ability to create it without too much difficulty. Feedback on this idea is very much appreciated!
