Why is Winamp not working with Windows 10 ????

I downloaded a version of Winamp which I had stored on hard drive on to my laptop it did not work player came up , I put in some mp3 music and it did not want to play any sound . So I downloaded new version and it did the same !

Is there a setting or something that I need to change to make Winamp work ?

try to download 5.66 instead of 5.8 and do a clean install,
which means you have to delete the folder winamp on your HD.

and if it doesn't give you any sound, look into Winamp settings and select direct output and check your sound settings on your laptop.

I have re installed the program the other day , but let me try deleting it completely and re in stall 5.66 . Let me see what she does after that , it doesn't even create short cut on my desktop either so let me delete all and see what happens
