Indeed it does!! Thanks once again

Here is the reason I am asking, (and i started to think this OP was a dumb question). When I open start_sc_trans.bat It will would not stay open. SO after playing around with this I have a couple questions.

If I use DSP instead of trans, does it matter what the config says about playlist? Do i need to make .lst files in that case? (Does DSP override what the trans.conf is set to do?)

I re-watched your config builder video, and when you went to run the trans yours would not stay open either, and in your case it was because your unlock codes were just random numbers for demo purposes. My key codes were copied and pasted into a text file the day i got them, and have been using it from the day i downloaded the software to do this. Anyways here is my trans log: I can't figure it out.

code:
2011-10-30 01:23:43 E msg:[PLAYLISTMGR] Could not activate playlist `playlist' because no playlist file found playlist.lst

If you've made your playlist and named it correctly then you need to tell the Transcoder the correct filename, and in this case it seems, the full path to the playlist file you created. The error message quoted indicates that the Transcoder could not locate the file by the specified name (and/or location.)

Where did you put the playlist file? Double check.
What does the Transcoder configuration line for the default playlist file say is the playlist file? The name of the configuration option is playlistfile. Double check.

The .pls file is in music folder of SHOUTcast (C:\Program Files\SHOUTcast\music)

The playlist.lst is in: C:\Program Files\SHOUTcast\playlists

Config: playlistfile=C:\Program Files\SHOUTcast\playlist.lst

**Note: playlist.lst is the example file that came with download.

So if i follow the direction on the video you supplied, make that a .lst stick that in the playlists folder, it should work?

sc_trans doesn't actually need the file to be .lst, it'll happily try to process a pls or m3u irrespective of the extension of the file - it just needs to exist and the path specified to access it needs to be valid.
