Shoutcast stream buffering only when certain songs play
Hi,
I recently switched over to the latest v2 versions of shoutcast DSP and DNAS. after doing a clean install on a new server. Version Info: DSP: v2.3.5 (build 222) DNAS: v2.5.5.733 The problem I have is that some songs when streamed (via Shoutcast) now sound choppy (break-up), and make the listeners player buffer. While other songs in the playlist play and sound fine with no buffering. (FYI. If I copy these songs that cause the buffering and play them in WinAmp on another PC they play fine). The strange thing is that when I was streaming using the old v1.9# DSP, and 1.9.8 DNAS, this never happened all songs streamed fine with no buffering or audio playback problems. I have re-encoded ALL songs (MP3's), in my playlist to have the same bitrate and frequency i.e.: Bitrate: 256kbps Frequency: 44100hz As previously the songs where at differing bitrates and frequency's. As I thought that this may be causing the problem, but since doing this it has not helped, and I still get the choppy audio and buffering on certain songs. Does anyone know why this may be happening and can offer any advice on how I can sort this problem out? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. |
