Playlist sorting for more than 8192 items

Hello Devs,

I'm used to having large playlists, rather putting every favorite in the playlist. Recently it has grown beyond 8200 items, and I find that the sorting command doesn't work properly, rather it sorts the items in a rather weird way. I seem to think its because of a hard limit preventing proper sorting algorithm for the whole playlist, rather it takes chunks and sorts them, but incorrectly as a whole.

I would like to see sorting feature capable of handling a larger playlist, something like doubling or making the limit 4x the existing value, which seems to be 8192 (closest binary multiple that relates to my case). Today's computers have too much memory anyways to be wasted for about one second.
