How can I play only the first 2 minutes of a song in a playlist?

Good Morning!

Through this forum, I have figured out how, through fading, I can mix one song into another.

What I'd like to figure out, if possible, is how to play only the first two minutes of a song in a playlist and have it mix into the next song? I have a long playlist and really only want to hear the first 1:30 to 2:00 of each song before it moves on to the next.

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance!!!

Gen-Intro did forward to the next song after 2 minutes, but it did not fade into the next song as I have set on Direct Sound Output to do. Can they not be used together?

you may need to enable more of the fading options in the output plug-in to cover more cases. seeing as gen_intro is quite an old plug-in, it can be just forcing Winamp to the next track which would prevent the cross-fade from working with some of the values (hence needing to enable more of them - but i'm not 100% sure which ones as i've not used them or gen_intro in years).

The latest version of Gen_Intro has a fade-out option. Still an old plugin.

After searching, this plug-in is exactly what I need. Problem for me is when I go in to configure it, and change the time to play for X seconds (doesn't matter the amount I enter) it only plays for 10 seconds then changes to next file. Is there any possible fix for this, or something I'm doing incorrectly? Thx!

Hi BigRob,

That plug-in has not been updated for the Vista/Win 7 file writing restrictions in certain folders. When you want to change the delay value, you have to run WA in Administrator mode long enough to make the change. Then the change will remain when you run WA normally.

Thank You, Thank You

I use Minilyrics from Crintsoft to find songlyrics for my audio, great tool but i had to click every song to go to the next track, now i can do other things while Minilyrics finds my songtexts
