Nope, it still doesn't show. No errors, but it doesn't have the titles. *shrug* Perhaps it's a lost cause..

Does anyone have any idea why or if the IP settings have anything to do with the metadata streaming?

After doing everything in this thread, I still cannot get the Playlist to show. I am running Winamp 5.03 on both machines (Broadcast & Listen) - I am stumped.

FesterHead, do you have any other ideas? I'd really like to get this working eventually. I don't know what kind of involvment you have with Nullsoft, but can you possibly describe how the song title update process works?

Is there an additional port that needs to forward?

Are you sure that DestIP shouldn't be set to 10.0.0.3? (Actually, I moved it to 10.0.0.2 now.)

This is basically one-to-one forwarding. I have both Destination and Source NAT enabled.

Ports 8012 and 8013 are being forwarded.

It's not even updating the local HTML file that it serves

I'm streaming locally and listening remotely. It seems that communication between the server and the streamer is somehow not working, but I don't understand why.

Here is my current configuration:
code:
MaxUser=32
Password=*
PortBase=8012
LogFile=sc_serv.log
RealTime=1
ScreenLog=1
ShowLastSongs=20
W3CEnable=Yes
W3CLog=sc_w3c.log
SrcIP=127.0.0.1
DestIP=10.0.0.2
Yport=80
NameLookups=1
AdminPassword=*
AutoDumpUsers=0
AutoDumpSourceTime=30
TitleFormat=%s (Adam's Tunes)
PublicServer=never
AllowRelay=No
AllowPublicRelay=No
MetaInterval=8192

Please note that before I made this update DestIP and SrcIP were both set to ANY.

Also, I just noticed that changing PublicServer to default and on the streamer making the server public updates the local HTML file with the song titles, but it still does not show on my remote listener.

I am using Winamp 2.91 with the DSP Plugin 1.8.2b. I am using the Shoutcast DNAS 1.9.4.

Any help would be appreciated.

I've tried all suggestions here but i still can't get the song titles to show up in my broadcast: http://213.200.156.203:8087
Instead I get this endless amount of gibberish which makes no sense at all.

Enable title updates, title (auto) and URL (auto) are all checked.

You might want to try this because I had the exact same problem.

If you are using a (second level dsp) meaning if you are using a crossfader pluggin in winamp and you have the dsp
setup configured in the the crossfader
pluggin.

You might want to go to preferences in
the winamp player then go to output click on the out dll in my case I use the the advance sqrsoft version 1.65 then click the configure button below. That should bring up a configure box for the pluggin. You should see a tab
called dsp, click that on and then click the configure button.

** It's Important to note however you must do this after you start your server and are playing a song
in winamp to work.

Hope this helps

Works for winamp but not WMP10

I stream my music from home so that I can listen to my music at work. However, my song titles and artists do not show up on Windows Media Player. I have tried winamp and all my track info shows up, but my computer is locked at work so I can only use WMP10. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Windows Media player does not display SHOUTcast track titles -- It does not support title streaming -- not a problem, just the way it is.

Keep in mind that SHOUTcast is a competing technology to MS Win Media Server technology -- so don't expect anything from MS to go very far to support SHOUTcast. SHOUTcast is free, WMS is certainly not.

Response To Tom (Alternate DSP Stacker)

>Try this one instead: >http://www.spacialaudio.com/index.h...ns&plugin=7

Apparently, I have been having the same problem of loosing the past and present playing stats on the server and it does appear to be MuchFX because it does work now after removal. Since the post was from 2002, I can't find anything on the above recommended link that would appear to be a DSP stacker? Does it refer to the Winamp plug-in on that page?? I lost the audio proceesor I was using with MuchFx and now everything sounds lousey!
Thanks
