Hollow - Whadda ya think??

About a year ago i recorded this track. I lost all the original unmixed .wav files about a month ago due to a format, and im thinking of trying to record it again. Anyways, after listening to some of bluetapes work, he's inspired me to get back into making my own music...

Have a listen and let me know if it has potential to be any good.

Its a 96kbps ogg, so the quality isnt all that great...But the original was written, recorded, mixed, and finalised here in my bedroom with no professional equipment at all...A $20 microphone, my ibanez, a crappy midi program and an sblive value was all i used, so the quality in .wav format wasnt fantastic anyway.

If i re-record it, i'll borrow a proper mixer and a couple of quality microphones, and since im planning to get something better in the sound card dept, it should sound a lot better.

Oh yeh, i cant sing, so the vocals are very soft in the mix, so i've attached the lyrics.

P.S..Can anyone here sing?? And would they be willing to do the lyrics??

Depends on the octave and whether you want a girl or a guy

[edit] I'll have to listen to the track tomorrow, I ended up working a 14-hour day... but this post puts the thread on my subscribed threads list so I'll remember to check it again lol [/edit]

"very soft" = non-existant... someone's shy!

i could *try* and sing for, but i really do suck...

[edit]listened to it again... that song's really damn good if you read along the lyrics at the same time... i can hear your voice, you sound alright... i could harmonise with you if you like [/edit]

Okay, finally got to listen to the song!

I really like it; it makes me... kinda sad?

I can't really hear your voice obviously, but you don't suck... at least you're on key

I hope you can find someone to do the vocals for it! And hopefully you post it again when you do?

i just listened to this song again (kinda a while after, innit? it just popped up on my mp3 player...) - it's a very sombre, but good song. hope you continued with it.
