Guess someone wanted to see it. I just heard on the news today it made over 25 million dollars in sales and set the record for a documentary film.

I still think he's a toad, quite possibly this one: http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....hreadid=184884

Bush (senior) calls Moore a "slimeball"...

Quote:
The 41st President of the United States has stepped up to defend his son, the 43rd President of the United States, against "slimeball" filmmaker Michael Moore.

"I have total disdain for Moore," George H.W. Bush told us when we saw him at the T.J. Martell Foundation Awards gala, where he was honored along with Stevie Wonder and Dr. Daniel Vasella the other night.

"41" has heard enough about "Fahrenheit 9/11," Moore's documentary indictment of President Bush, to know "it's a vicious attack on our son.

"It's a free country, so he's free to say whatever he wants," the former Oval Officer went on. "But I don't appreciate it. I don't like it.

"[My son] served with honor, and to get knocked down by this guy, " he huffed. "But you got to put up with it. That's what I'd say to [my son]."

We asked what he thought of Moore's use of the comment Barbara Bush made at the start of the Iraq war: "Why should we hear about body bags, and deaths? ... Why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that? And watch [my son] suffer."

Said her furious husband: "For him to take on Barbara is just beyond the pale. She's a decent, wonderful person, and to have to answer anything about what that slimeball says is just too much."

Informed of Bush's tirade, Moore told us he had "fond memories" of "41" asking for a print of his movie "Roger & Me" to show at Camp David in the winter of 1990.

Moore, whose film explores the financial ties between the Bush family and the Saudis, said, "I appreciate all reviews of my films from the Bush family. And if they love the film this much, without having seen it, I can't wait for the reviews when they actually see it. I'd be more than happy to set up a White House screening."

Recalling the Bushes' nickname for Saudi Ambassador to the U.S. Prince Bandar, he added, "I hope they invite Bandar Bush!"

I think we pay Moore too much attention than he deserves...He laughs at the US and laughs at the people who fall for his bullshit, pay money to see a movie he calls a documentary, and make him rich...He hates the US, but he'll glady use the media if it turns him into a greedy attention whore where the spotlight shines on him...What a tool...

I tried to listen to AirAmerica radio the other day.
They were saying that anyone who went to see Spiderman 2,
instead of Michael Moore's movie were stupid.
They should be seeing Moore's movie for education,
instead of wasting their time and money on a horribly made movie,
with bad actors like Spiderman 2.
Then they suggested to their listener's, to keep Moore's movie on top,
everyone should buy a ticket to Fahrenheit 9/11, then sneak into Spiderman.

It's funny how the Democrats attack Bush for exploiting 9/11 in his commercial ads a few months ago, but when this fat, money-hungry fuck creates a propaganda-motivated "documentary" that's over an hour long over the same controversial topic, they keep shut...

Brrrrrrrr! Wrong. He quite honestly calls his film an op-ed.

Propaganda motivated? The fact that the movie is on the same topic about the commercials doesnt mean that it is "delivering" the same "content".

Just because he's talking about the same subject doesnt automatically mean that the democrats will get mad . In fact, he's SUPPORTING the democrats, so they should be HAPPY.

So a Republican can't go into the sensative issues of 9/11, but a Democrat can? Seems to be the way it is...

I dont know the argument against the 9/11 stuff in the advertisement, so I cant defend it.

It's not the FACT THAT they actually go INTO the sensitive issues, BUT THE WAY that the sensitive issues are EXPLOITED.

You believe that shit?
Quote:
The real winner: a charity, or charities, as yet unnamed, that will receive about 60 percent of the net profit ultimately generated by the film -- a tally that could be tens of millions of dollars. The Weinsteins, meanwhile, will pocket about 40 percent of the net, according to people familiar with the deal.
Hmmm. let me get this straight, 60% + 40% = 100% So, Moore isn't getting anything from this movie?

Bush is a cheat, a liar and an idiot.

When Richard Clark's book came out,
the right wing said he was a liar and the left wing said he told the truth.
Now Richard Clark is contradicting part of Moore's movie as fabricated and inaccurate,
and the right wing says he's telling the truth, and the left wing says he's lying.

To me, the whole bunch are hypocrites!
It's getting comical in a vaudevillian kind of way.

I heard an interesting comparison given yesterday.
See if this sounds familiar. A couple hundred years ago, we as Americans decided we were tired of the British, who were basically THE superpower then, pressing their influences on us and so we revolted. It was very bloody and there was no way we were going to give in to the oppressors. We had what was strikingly similar to a Jihad

The Brits wanted the American collonists to contribute through taxes to the upkeep of the army that was curently the only organisation preventing French and Spanish Imperial expansion on the continent.
The collonists said, F. that, were not paying taxes so our army can protect us. No, we're going dress up as Indians and throw all your tea in the river. Before making an alliance with France so their artillery can win the decisive battle for us.

King George III was most displeased. Especially as he was a German and an awfull lot of the collonists were also German. The French were delighted and went to live in Canada, while the Spanish concentrated on wipeing out entire cultures in South America.

Meanwhile the Irish, quietly conquered the whole world. (Or at least the bits that reall matter).

One thing I like to add is that i seen a newsstory that Moore actually uploaded the film to filesharing service himself. Now this story came from the wesite of the inquirer so i do not know if it can be true or not.
