I am also looking for the same thing.
I have looked for the codec discussions, can you point me in the right direction?

There is a fee to be paid for the pro codec,
Be careful as there is a "Freeware" program called MP3 Compressor v0.9f by MP3hC, I installed it, and it had installed the Pro codec! I checked it out and it turned out to be illegally distributed! - There is no such thing as a free lunch (or freeware apparently)!

Holy crap Batman it "turned out to be illegally distributed! " stop the presses and call the newspapers. Who cares.

Well I am not going to endorse "theft"- because that is what it is!
Some nasty (or those who don't have the money to pay for it)people could look at my previous posting, do a search (as I gave all of the details of the program)and "aquire" the codec accidently!

So there you have it, as I said - the 'pro' codec is not free, but it supports LOTS of bitrates.

Best wishes,

Rash
