title metadata help
hey i am looking for a way to display all of my playlist with artist - album - track number - song title then time
and i want the album to abbriviate after so many letters like the album "Hear It Is The Flaming Lips" would become "Hear It tfl" or something close to that just so i can read the first part this is what i am using right now [%artist% - ][$abbr(%album%10) - ][$num(%tracknumber%,2) - ]$if2(%title%,$filepart(%filename%)) |

where is your question? you mean you want to apply that to all the playlists you already have(e.g. in the media library)?
sadly the only way i know how to do it is 1)load playlist 2)select all (ctrl+A) 3)misc > misc > read extended info on selection (ctrl+alt+E) 4)in media library, goto playlist, remove all 5)in ML > manage playlist > import active playlist.. saving the recently meta-updated playlist back into the original playlist. otherwise, i "think" you could also go and open \winamp\plugins\ml\######.m3u do steps 2-3, then "list opts" > save playlist as the same random number.m3u |

no i want to abbriviate things but not in the format of using the first letter of each word
so "Hear It Is The Flaming Lips" normally becomes "HISTFL" i want it to become something like "Hear It Is TFL" |
