Title in psl or m3u playlist

Both PLS and M3u style playlists have an option where you can set the "title" to a file. But once the file is played it defaults to the filename or ID3 tag. So whats the point of the title a playlist? Is there someway to get that title to stick regardless of the filename or the exsistance of an id3 tag?

Let me ask this in a different way. Is there anyway to have winamp play "linein://" AND have the title set to something else other then Line In?

The titles stored in the playlist files are there so that the PC doesn't need to waste tons of cpu time when the playlist is first loaded searching for track names.

As for your actual question about the linein, I'm not sure. Perhaps someone else knows?
