unable to open autogenerated m3u from server

suppose i have a server with multiple radiostations
i would like these to be in one m3u generated dinamically with php script
the problem is that from browser all works ok, but if i open this script from winamp - [error syncing with mpeg] occurs

i forge headers to return header("Content-Type: audio/x-mpegurl");

and then just echo my m3u text
#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:-1,My Station2
192.168.1.1:8000/one
#EXTINF:-1,My Station2
192.168.1.1:8000/two

winamp doesn't want to recognize it - only if i add .m3u extension, but i don't want do it for .php script, which must be simple for users, so they can just load 192.168.1.1/radio

is it possible to make winamp stream check a little bit more intelligent to find a difference between m3u and actual stream? it is a simple 10 bytes response check

tnx
