Mouse Wheel Scroll Causes Skips

When a scoll my wheel on my mouse, my mp3s occassionally skip. They usually skip when the scroll is a longer one. What could be causing this?

No sys specs... can't really help...

Could be mouse drivers, soundcard drivers (or crappy onboard soundchip), videocard drivers, a resource/irq conflict, a number of things...

Obligatory list:

Yeah, looks like the new "use/create primary buffer" setting is fixing it for most people. Yay!
We always recommend to try the update first and, if the problem persists, then move on to other possible causes/solutions.

either i never fixed it or this just popped back up
It is now skipping when i scroll the mouse sometimes
I had my soundcard in the pci slot below my video card and they were sharing an IRQ so i switched it down a slot, still no luck.
