Win2K

I just upgrade my sound system with Win2k, now none of my MP3's won't play.
After click at any mp3 file, Winamp will open but nothing happend... no error message... it does just like the file is 1k in size.
I did uninstall winamp, download different versions and the same happend..... don't play only mp3's... it works for WAV's..
Most curiose is.... Media Player won't play mp3's also... but give me error message:
"No combination of filters could be found to render the stream"
I just cant find the solution - Very important do know that I had tryed version 2.80, 2.78 and Beta vesion 3. All give me the same resoult....
Please help me out. it seams to be something on my computer configuration and not at the program it self (I think)

Thanks a lot

Sounds to me like you've got an MP3 munching virus

All my mp3's turned into vbs files:

ps. I found this quote from your website quite amusing:
Well, with my "GREAT" English I will try to explain....
LoL
(note: no disrespect intended)

If media player wont play them either the files are most likely corrupted somehow.

Did you update your anti-virus definitions before scanning?

If theyre corrupted i wouldnt bet on getting them back. If they were infected they might be able to be cleaned.

The best advise i can give is that in the future keep a backup copy of everything important.

So, you are saying that, once my system was clear from virus, the MP3's should start working and if not there is no way to fix it?

Regarding your advice, I felt this is very funny.... because that is what I always tell my customers.... very stupid of me...
