Syntax error in formatting string

I just installed version 5.551-and it's running fine, but initially I had a problem with one file- now I can't remove the scrollin message "syntax error in formatting string". Please help, how can I remove this message?

Try installing 5.8, see if that fixes it. If not, come back here and we'll work on it.
