I want to say the following; In short my time is no longer remotely attached to anything relating to winamp. I had a few sparks over the past year; nothing ever has come of those sparks. I tried collaboration a time or two with some others from the community both past and present.

I've finally, found that my contributions are no longer worthwhile in continuing. I may visit in the near future and will keep 1001skins running.

Beyond, that however; I have decided to move on. I don't use winamp and haven't for years. Though, it has a special place in my heart.

I am not saying goodbye as the future has never been so clear for me. I do miss many people that used to frequent this little neck of the woods.

I bow my hat to all that have stayed, all the leer out from the corners and will remember you all with fondness.

A bit sad to hear it, it's always sad, but hardly surprising at this moment.. I can't help to think that nowadays, leaving Winamp behind means nothing but growing up, moving onto something more challenging and stimulating.

Thanks for your words, and thanks for your work too, you commitment and art helped Winamp to be more than what it actually is. See you around!!

Wow.. Downloading now, huge thanks for the gesture. Feel like my teen days when going to an old park fair and find gold in comic issues and videogames magazines, imported, used and then sold in the fair for people like me to find it and be happy for the rest of the day =).

Some of my unfinished stuff for anyone that may want them:

There are not that many...yet. I found these as I was rummaged my drive and cleaning up; Most of this Volume are in PNG format and are not yet suitable for usage in winamp. They in many cases are main window only and require more work in order to complete them.

I've also, included the source images for preslice and rarewood. The PSD for these skins was lost long ago.

BONUS
I have found a plethora of additional drives labeled skins on them; and I will see what they have but, as my skins age so my skill at them was even worse than these.

many years ago, about a auto-generated skin made from an image. Basically, some goop thrown together and submitted through winamp.com if my mind serves me still.

Viper.Bot was a sidelong designed skin by Peacemaker and I; We both worked to a point and then completed each in our own way; I was going to submit it as a red and silver skin but, it fell out of favor in comparison to the original yellow.

But, I figured what the hell...at least I can provide the original screenshot...pulled out of a psd and resaved to png.


FYI (I had no idea what to name this thing...at that stage).

I usually find them in one directory of a drive, zip or in psd format on my scratch external drive. I generally kept all incompleted versions so, I could reuse or repurpose them.

Found Another...

It is pretty rought, but the last edit date was 4mo's ago. I kinda recall wanting to make a clean, white skin with green. I don't know why I stopped, more than likely I ended up disliking my take on it.

In any event here it is...if anyone wants the psd...I have it.

on a another note...peacemaker and I have been corresponding via email on a final hurrah; though, It too will likely never be finished; but, If so it will find it's home here at some stage.
