Old ModPlug Player v1.46.01 versus/vs. Winamp v5.6.

Is it me or is Winamp v5.6's Module Decoder v2.85 isn't good compared to old ModPlug Player v1.46.01 for old S3M, MOD, IT, XM, 669, etc. tunes? They sound different I think MPP is better. What do you guys think?

Not sure about sound quality, but Nullsoft Module Decoder is very old and based on an outdated libMikMod. It has some crash bugs, which I never saw in other players.

of it's going to "still sound like crap today" because no one has done anything towards updating / replacing the plug-in. it's niche and doesn't get much interest (other than the odd bitching about it) which is why no official time gets allocated towards it because it'd be a waste of time and money. sure it'd be great if it was updated to support x, y & z but that's just not how it is.

or maybe people could donate or something like that to get specific features implemented / plug-ins updated, etc though would imply a decent financial return to do it (which is why i doubt it'd be feasible if no one wanted to contribute in such a manner when i offered to do cue support).

Have there been any updates on this? Like another better plugin for Winamp v5.666? Too bad MPP isn't open sourced to use their codes.
