Display embedded art with custom track info in fullscreen

Hi everyone,

I have a 2nd monitor where I'd like winamp to display (in fullscreen preferrably) embedded album art of the currently playing track along with some basic info from the track's ID3Tag, like title, track No., album, year, artist... Ideally have the half screen taken by the art and the second half displaying the track info in a large enough font to be readable even from a few meters...

Is there a way to do it with vanilla Winamp? Would some plugin be needed for this?

Any hacks and workarounds are welcome

Hi, appreciate the response, but this is not quite what I'm looking for - What I really want is for the track info to show on screen during the whole playback of the track. Including the embedded album art. Something along these lines https://winampheritage.com/plugin/co...winamp5/138565 but unfortunately I can't get it to work on Winamp 5.666 - the video window stays blank (in fact showing the background of the desktop)

What I have I believe gives you more what you are looking for, but it's the nowplaying tab in winamp so it's not on the second screen unless that's where you want your winamp (using ClassicPro v2.01 and 'cPro2 Styler Radiance by Victhor' skin)


Another option is rainmeter. there's plenty of skins for winamp that uses cover art and track info that you might be able to tweak to give you what you want.

Actually Cover&ART plugin works great, I thought it didn't because most of my collection is in FLAC format, but when I tried converting one of my FLACs to MP3 it showed art and info on that MP3. So it seems it supports MP3 only...

So my requirements for a plugin/skin/whatever are that it can read embedded art and info from any audio audio format (or at least MP3 and FLAC).

If any1 can take my hand and guide me through a setup of any such plugin/skin I'd be grateful. If not, can any1 just point out a concrete URL where I can download it and I could try to play with it on my own.

Oh, one more thing, I'm using Winamp 5.666, if that's of any importance

@musicf8 could you perhaps guide me through setting up the Radiance stuff you mentioned? I was quite at loss when I searched for it (and nowplaying tab?) - I found a link to Deviant Art but not sure if that's the correct place. I don't really care if it's a window or whole winamp on that other screen, so it might very well suffice, I just don't know how to do it

It could be that it only works with id3v2, so you might be able to add that to flac.

Of course, Radiance is a ClassicPro skin, which you need to install in order to use. ClassicPro is abandonware but works just fine. Links below-

Actually, just noticed a v2.03 beta which you can try as well as, but i'm using v2.01, apparently it's abandoned because it was integrated in wacup.

Basically you close winamp, install classicpro like you would any regular program, then install the skin and switch to it in winamp like normal

We're getting somewhere, thanks for the help, @musicf8! I downloaded that beta and managed to make it look like this which is more or less acceptable: Fullscreen winamp with now playing

But now come questions about some more tweaking...

1. is it possible to move that bottom drawer to the right side so the art would be on the left, info on the right?
2. is it possible to make that drawer bigger (font is at maximum which is 30 but I wouldn't mind it even bigger)
3. is it possible to make that scrollbar/progress bar totally invisible (remove it) or at least half the height?
4. maybe I did something when I was tweaking those million settings, but when I minimize winamp window, the border stays on desktop... how do I get rid of it? Border visible when minimized

If I'm asking too much, ok, but if at least something from this is doable, it would be a blast!

I realized the border problem goes away if I choose the "normal" variant of the skin, so the problem is with the "radiance" variant

Also, another tweak - is it possible to get rid of the album art reflection at the bottom part? Just display the art and nothing more?

The border on radiance was bothering me a bit as well so I was able to remove it on my tweaked version (attached).
You might have to mess around with the skin to get what you want. I am not too familiar with skinning so I don't think I can help, you might just have to unzip the skin and edit some code to get what you want.

Also, if you use the Bento Skins, take a look on CoverPlaying. It displays the artist and the title on a window (like the browser and video) alongside with the Cover Art.
