Sorry.

Lots of other ways to find out, though, even if you don't know about AMG.

First on the list...Google: Rush discography

True, true.

BTW, Elvis did 250+ albums - that's one road I'm not walking down...

Easy Dude - SoulSeek - the album acquirers paradise. I did Pink Floyd in one morning actually (but didn't want to rub it in)...

Piper at the Gates of Dawn
A Saucerful of Secrets
More
Umm (whatever it's called)
Atom Heart Mother
Meddle
Obscured By Clouds
Dark Side of the Moon
Wish You Were Here
Animals
The Wall
The Final Cut
A Momentrary Lapse of Reason
Delicate Sound of Thunder
The Division Bell

All in a single morning... I haven't got the man-hours to listen to the stuff though.

@Cylob: Get Pink Floyd ~ Relics also. It's partly a compilation, but also has some tracks that aren't on the other albums in your list, including the classic Careful With That Axe, Eugene.

Edit: Also, on the album Echoes: The Best Of Pink Floyd is one previously unreleased track that's worth getting, IMO...a song missing from The Wall album that appeared in the movie: When The Tigers Broke Free.

That's the one.

The tracks that aren't found on other albums (but were released as singles) are See Emily Play, Arnold Layne and Careful With That Axe, Eugene. Also, at the moment (looking through my collection) I can't find Paintbox and Julia Dream on any other studio album either.

The rest are all accounted for elsewhere.

Actually, I second this recommendation.

Both P.U.L.S.E. and Is There Anybody Out There? The Wall: Live 1980-1981 are outstanding live sets from Pink Floyd.

Two thumbs up for both!

I'm guessing your going to be downloading this music, and not purchasing it?

I plan to complete (purchase) the discographies of the Pixies in 2004. I'd love to finish up my Hüsker Dü collection, but it seems like The Living End is going to be a bitch to find.

Plus, the additional taxes some countries are adding to CD-R and related recording media are going to support the artists, as is money spent at Apple's iTunes music store. So the artists remain well-funded whether you download or buy discs.

I used to feel guilty about D/Ling, but now that I know the artists who create the music are making money from it (in several different ways), I have no guilt whatsoever.

Makes me appreciate A-DSL even more, too. I can get one album in about 4 minutes at full-bandwidth. Now my dilemma is hard drive space. 60GB fills up really fast. Shopping for a 300GB external (firewire) drive now...

Speaking of which...(on topic)...I'm now working on my PJ Harvey collection. Got three albums so far (Dry, Rid Of Me and To Bring You My Love).

Well said Chris. If I had a conscience I'd feel better.

But there's no way I'm paying £14 for one album. Those days are gone, the industry can whistle.

PJ Harvey = good choice. I have some Liz Phair albums somewhere (check my playlist).

Well funded is not the word I would use. The money from CD-Rs is going to the record companies. How could they possibly be giving money to all the artists you are downloading from?

And how does buying a CD put any more money into the pocket of the artist? It doesn't.

The only way to accomplish that is to send money directly to the artists themselves, which I've done on a few occasions. Downloading and then sending whatever you can straight to the artists (especially the ones you know aren't rich) gives them a helluva lot more income than buying CDs.

Bottom line is after the recording industry takes their huge, oversized share of profits, there's just not enough left to justify the work many of the artists put into their craft. Downloading (and hence bypassing the funding of the RIAA), then sending money to the artists you appreciate is a much better (and more fair) approach, IMO.

@Cylob: Nice collection of Liz! You still need H.W.C. though. (Track 11 from her last, self-titled album.)
