Winamp Playlists

Hi there,

I have a question i'm not sure if it's been asked before and i've tried to use google/search bar and am coming up with different things rather than what i'm really after.

I'm wondering if it's possible to change the directory of my winamp playlist from for example:

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\My Music

to

C:\Users\Administrator\Music

As i've recently gone from a Windows XP computer to a Windows 7 computer and I really don't want to have to add the whole playlist one by one or folder by folder etc etc

Thanks for your time.

If you've kept exactly the same folder structure on the two machines it's pretty straightforward.

This will work OK if you copied the My Music folder from XP directly to the Music folder on Win7.

Open your playlist in NotePad and use 'Replace all' to change the old address to the new.

So you would enter C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\My Music in Find

and C:\Users\Administrator\Music in Replace.

Work from a backup, just in case.
