My Winamp3 doesn't work!
Help! I downloaded WA3 yesterday, installed it, but I can't
use it properly. Whenever I start WA3, a message reading "Illegal Operation" concerning the Studio.exe file appears ("studio.exe has caused an invalid page fault to kernel32.dll") When I close the dialog box, WinAmp shuts down... It is driving me nuts! Is there anything I can do about it? For the moment I'm forced to stick with my trusty WA 2.80. Desperately awaiting help! PS: Can I use DFX for WA 2.x with WA3? I already have the plug-in manager. ![]() |

System specs? (cpu, ram, windows os, sound & video, directx)
Have you tried upgrading to v2.81 instead of 2.80 As for WA3, what I suggest for now is that you completely uninstall it (use the uninstaller then delete the Winamp3 dir), then reinstall it without ANY extra 3rd-party plugins or skins. See if it works okay now, without any illegal op errors. If the problem reoccurs when you install any 3rd-party plugin then contact the author of said plugin to report the problem. As for DFX, there's a version specifically for WA3 here: http://www.winamp.com/components3/de...onentId=119440 More info here: http://www.winamp.com/components3/br...ame=DSP/Effect |
