told you it would be back! (look inside for more info)
here you have the first public proof that when I said the Wa2 - Wa3 skin converter template would be back later in one form or another, I meant it!
I'm currently working on the wa2skin.wac for Winamp3/Wasabi Player (yes, the "official" one, Brennan was kind enough to release the source for it in the sdk) and here's a screenshot of it's current state. Not visible in this screenshot are the more or less finished video and minibrowser windows.. titlebar on standardframe will come later, maybe much later, it's pretty low priority right now. Possible bugs and more important features comes first.. The standardframe uses colors from both genex.bmp and pledit.txt, depending the use.. The shuffle slider in the prefs is pretty much the only thing I haven't found a replacement for or even a color (for it's gammagroup) in wa2 skins. This is just a very early teaser of what to come later, but don't ask when because I don't know and it could take alot of time before anyone gets to play with it. And just to make it clear, this will not be released separately at all, it will be a part of the main installation only! -Plague |

Thanks Plague! still looks great. The white text is a bit hard to read in the prefs, but i'm not complaining. I'm sure it looks better or worse in other skins, depending on how they're made.
Keep it up. ~WHEREamI |

WHEREamI: yea, I know about the white text, it's a bug in Wasabi that I'm trying to find a solution for. Somehow, some of the fonts are blended with the background if the background is very light colored (I think), but I have no idea yet how to fix it, if possible...
It will be looked into tho and sooner or later, it will be fixed. DrO: heh, yea I guess it does.. ![]() -Plague |

ok, think it's time for a little status update.
I have a new sreenie for ya'll. Most stuff I've been working on lately have been non-visible stuff, but there are two things to notice in this screenie: 1. notice how it's running in wasabi.player, not Winamp3. This doesn't mean anything other than wa2skin.wac beeing compatible with 499c but it's still worth mentioning ![]() 2. notice the preferences page and the config registry page. Yes you thought right, wa2skin.wac has its own set of settings. ![]() Notice that I hijacked the Skins section in the preferences and made the wa2skin page a child to that section. What do you think about that, is it a good place or should I move it somewhere else? kthnxbye -Plague |

2. Yah, i think that's a good place for it. makes more sense than leaving it outside on its own, i think.
Lookin' good! ~WHEREamI |

my other idea was to have it in the system section instead, labeled "Classic Skin support".
Would that be better or worse? -Plague |

I like it how it is in the screenshot. It's logical that classic skin prefs would branch from all skin prefs, and (and I know this isn't very relevent) it follows suit with the Winamp5 skin prefs positioning.
But I'm feeling much better now. |

winamp 5 had nothing to do with the decision, it was pure logic, but yeah you're right, it does follow suit with it..

Can any one of you fix a tiny bug in winamp3's default skin for it to work properly on winamp5? Don't get me wrong, it works well however, when trying to play a video it sometimes would not play at all and all you'd get is the audio playing. I've tried it with various winamp3/wasabi skins starting from 488 to 499c... Anyone out there willing to help?
Thank you, John |

umm.. This is really the wrong thread for questions like that. This thread is about Wa2 skin support in wasabi.player (Winamp3).
Also, I'm not really sure what you're talking about is a skinbug. You said it only happens sometimes? Then I can assure you it's not a skinbug. If it happens on only a few types of video files, then I can also assure you it's not a skinbug.. If neither of the above, then I don't know.. You'll have to explain it better.. -Plague |

It's been a long time since I've been around here. Good to see the work moving along. I might grab a copy of the SDK have a look around at it.
You guys should start a mailing list, they tend to work alot better (in my experience) than just using an IRC channel. |

and how many digits were between the $ and the . on your request?
s0be p.s. I probably could have written something similar for about 3 digits. And On that day, the Lords of the land said unto their Master Architect, "The temple you have made to the gods of Wasabi and Maki has brought us no great prosperity" and they sent out him into the lands. As he traveled to a far off land, he found he wasn't traveling alone, but that he had gained companions, and when they found their new land, they started work on a new temple, one that would be OPEN to all who wanted to worship. from The Book of Wasabi C 12 Vs 09 (pg 2003)

Merry Christmas
Wasabi.player mailing list
For now, the list is unmoderated and allows up to 200k postings. Member addresses aren't displayed to non-members, so hopefully we won't attract too many spam bots. If anyone has any troubles with the current configuration, or use, PM me here. This is on a paid-for hosting service, I'll be keeping an eye on the bandwidth, but I don't expect any problems. It is occasionally unavailable for an hour or two, but never for long. Hope everyone has a happy holidays! -=Gonzotek=- But I'm feeling much better now. |

Sorry about that Russ
![]() If you want, and the current (few) list members agree, we can transfer membership over to wasabidev.org anytime, right now or whenever in the future-- I don't want to fragment the community or anything, and having the list traffic come from same domain would be nicer. Actually, it would at least have to be after the New Years, since I'll be offline to go on vacation in just a few minutes ![]() But if, on the other hand, you need an interim solution, I'm glad to oblige. But I'm feeling much better now. |

well, it's been 90% done for months now, but since no new build of wasabi.player has been released, no release of this component has been made either..
Whenever a new build of wasabi.player gets released, a release of this component will very soon follow, that I can promise.. -Plague |

Hopefully we get build 500 in the nearer future... Do you have any actual Screenshot? Maybe with Nucleo NLog 1.02? That would be fine... |

look up in this thread, there are like 5 screenies posted and one of them (#4) is with Nucleo Nlog, not sure if it's 1.02 tho. Also it's not from the latest version of the component but not much visible has changed since that..

I can tell you that when a new build of wasabi.player get's released (which is totally unknown when that will happen), this component will be released aswell.. That's 99.9% for sure..
I don't think I'm not gonna release anything before that tho, because of bugs in the current wasabi.player build. We'll see, maybe I can tweak the current build of the component to not be affected by those bugs, just to let you guys play with it.. I'll think about it.. -Plague |

Ok, I made the decision to release the component in it's current state, just so you have something to play with..
![]() I wasn't planning on doing this, but since it's unknown when a new build of wasabi.player will be released, I guess I could just aswell release what I have now instead, for those who're still using w.p... Some notes about it:
So, I think I've covered everything now.. Have fun and feel free to make any comments you want about it.. Oh, and here is the file.. ![]() -Plague |
