I plan to make a site in german, english and french, but I don't german and french.
Are there anyone around here that can either of them, and don't mind help me with just a few lines and words? 09 F9 11 01 9D 74 E8 5B D8 41 56 C3 63 56 81 C0 |

Or ask Mrs Mia Wallace. She's pretty busy with Uni, but, I know she would help out when she could.

Why? Why use inferior, dying languages? We all know England and the English rule, so lets use English!

Actually I will get payed when this site is done... don't know if I will take the money cause it's a human organization for childens... I think I'll make the site for free and get payed for the upkeep only Also here is the language file how I built it to now. http://www.aocore.com/test/languages.xml Think I am going to split them into each language instead so others can write other languages in just one file, and then it's only to add the file and a link to the language. 09 F9 11 01 9D 74 E8 5B D8 41 56 C3 63 56 81 C0 |

I can try to help you with the German, I'm not too great with the French anymore ever since I moved away from the francophone area but I can still spot some mistakes.
I can do some German translation for you although right now I'm doing professional translations the other way round for an insurance as a part time job which is keeping me even more busy than my 38 hour schedule from Uni itself ![]() ![]() But just PM me since in a couple of week I most likely have more time again and I'll see how I can help you out! ![]() Mia ![]() |

Wow, that's nice. Could you translate the current XML as it is now? Only a few words..
http://www.aocore.com/test/languages.xml It's going to be more when I get ahold of the information which I shall put into this site, but for now, I am just going to show what I can, so this will be the only page, only more style (both CSS and Tables/bgcolor/font tags and so on. And for those who want the source of how I did the language thing, you're free to use it ![]() http://www.aocore.com/wa5/index.txt 09 F9 11 01 9D 74 E8 5B D8 41 56 C3 63 56 81 C0 Last edited by PulseDriver; 26th November 2004 at 23:43. |

try Free Translations.com The translations are about 75% accurate, but if you pay, you can get ones that are 100% accurate

I don't think there's a proper German translation of website, everybody uses the English term.

Um.. this document lost some information in the upload... and I might belive that this have to do that it's an UTF-8 document.. could you post the source instead.. in a post? Just for the german part?
And no worries bout the German and website, I think you're right about that they use website alot. NM... i didn't think of using UTF-8 when it came to foreign characters ![]() I need to find a way to translate the escaped characters then. 09 F9 11 01 9D 74 E8 5B D8 41 56 C3 63 56 81 C0 |

I have now made the whole site into an example containing my first skin, and that might not be so very exciting to translate, but tell me if there are anyone in here to translate it for me.. most of the content of the site I am going to show to the one I am making this site for, is in there now, but it would be nice with the language feature when I show it off as well.
I am working on this site all the time, but if you want to have a look at it now, the URL is still: http://www.aocore.com/test/index.php?language=english NOTE: If you get an error or the site looks like crap, it's probably something I am working on, so just try again a little later. Hope there is someone that could help me with french or german or both ^^ 09 F9 11 01 9D 74 E8 5B D8 41 56 C3 63 56 81 C0 |

I'm willing to help you with the Dutch translation. I must add though that I don't like Dutch texts on technical subjects myself. A lot of terms and words are not 'translatable' since Dutch has no real words for them. The text will only be harder to read. And if you translate them, it often looks weird. I wouldn't know how to translate 'frame', 'script', 'gain', etc. without making the translation very inscrutable. Everyone who knows these conceptions will know the English words for them and will understand an English text on such a topic. Besides, Dutch people are quite accustomed to reading English text in general.
Also, do realize that when you have a lot of translations, you will also depend on a lot of 3rd-parties when you want to update your site. Or you will end up with different versions (eg. English/Norwegian updated, Dutch/French not). |

Yes about the updates, I need hep from someone and I will eventually when this site is done, cause it's not going to be my site, it's going to be a site about children (don't remember the name of the organisation, I just got the scratch of it after work on friday, so I am just making a sketch to show off.
Parts that isn't translated will be shown in english, and there will also be a note where it sais that the article isn't available in a translated version (yet). I don't need webhosting, nor DNS hosting. This site will be under norwegian domain (.no) at first. 09 F9 11 01 9D 74 E8 5B D8 41 56 C3 63 56 81 C0 |

Ok, I think I misunderstood you. This is just a test to show what's possible and what you can achieve...?
Well, if you decide/want to add a Dutch translation, let me know and I'll see what I can make out of it ![]() (no promises, it really isn't an easy text to translate, but I'll try if you want) |

Does the knob stay at its position or return when unmuted? (Maybe we should discuss text details via pm, this must be extremely interesting for others.) |

Hehe, it will stay at it's physical posistion like on a real reciver. When you press mute on a real reciver, it don't make the volumeknob roate down to it's 0 position.
Why does it write volumeknow instead of volumeknob? It did that to your post as well as mine, Geakwad2, and I noticed that you fixed it. 09 F9 11 01 9D 74 E8 5B D8 41 56 C3 63 56 81 C0 |

I copy/pasted it from your page (saved earlier), not the xml. Then I noticed you'd fixed it in the xml.

I translated the german part by freetranslations.com, but did it translate corret is my question, or it's not even a question. I am sure it did translate wrong some places.
Could anyone tell me if it's very bad or not? http://www.aocore.com/test/index.php?language=german Would be happy if someone took the time ![]() 09 F9 11 01 9D 74 E8 5B D8 41 56 C3 63 56 81 C0 |
