LONDON, Ont. - Tyler Ing doesn't believe in haircuts - at least not on his nipples.

The 20-year-old University of Western Ontario engineering student has made it into the 2006 Guinness Book of Records with a curious claim: the world's longest nipple hair.

The record-setting black strand dangling from Ing's right nipple measures a startling 8.89 centimetres (that's 3.5 inches for us American folk).

"There are a few contenders on me, but that's the longest one," said Ing, who has never trimmed or plucked his hirsute teats.

Ing said he decided to apply to Guinness after constant teasing from friends and the encouragement of his girlfriend.

"After you've been made fun of enough in the hockey change room, you might as well put it in Guinness," he said.

Ing applied to Guinness in March 2004, when the hair was officially measured

I spoke to him <Scor> the other day. He was really sick for a while and is now getting terrible migraine headaches. He has been out of work for a while and trying to get better.
