Shoutcast Web Management
Hey everybody,
I'm in the process of writing some Perl scripts that will allow me to control my playlist and configuration files for shoutcast (sc_serv version 1.9.2 if I'm not mistaken) which uses sc_trans_040 to broadcast. Right now my intended features are: -remote playlist management (add/remove files from the playlist) -skip to next song -toggle shuffle Things I'm considering: -the ability to restart both programs (although I'm not sure how I'd go about this) What I'd like to know is: 1. Has anyone written anything to do this before and I just haven't come across it? 2. Would anyone find this useful? 3. What other things would be useful features that I can add? Thanks! |

1. Yes, I have
![]() 2. I am sure host providers would love to take your code. 3. I leave that to others. -Jay | Radio Toolbox.com |

I would love a great remote playlist control (control the Winamp DSP from a remote location using just the internet connection, but I guess it would have to have some good security). WWWinamp is good, but a little limited, and hey, a nice GUI is good too.

I'm working on a similar program myself, uses PHP, MySQL and is cross OS windows and Linux. Jay if you would like to use It (since it's free) I would be happy to loan you the script. (maybe internal alpha?)
