Snap Points
Okay so I'm following a tutorial - I have two parts that I want snappoints for... I have read the info on this at
http://winamp.com/nsdn/winamp/skinni...snappoints.php Added this to my eq.xml <snappoint id="CommonDock" x="0" y="3" /> and this to thinger.xml <snappoint id="CommonDock" x="107" y="3" /> I put them right after the <container> tag... I've tried putting them in elements, tried putting them after <layout> tag.. and I cant seem to get it to work.. What am I doing wrong? |

Everything needs to be between the layout tags. That's one thing. I've tried it with a skin of mine and it works.
Is your window not snapping to another window than it needs to snap to? I.e. is the eq not snapping to the main window instead of the thinger and therefore you can't see it working? |

My EQ is supposed to Snap to Thinger (thinger is circle) and eq has a place for it perfectly... But it's just not snapping at all..
So the way you explain it - it should be like this.. Thinger: <layout id="normal" desktopalpha="1" w="150" h="154"> <snappoint id="CommonDock" x="107" y="3" /> eq-normal: <layout id="normal" desktopalpha="1" w="274" h="154"> <snappoint id="CommonDock" x="0" y="3" /> |

Nowhere? That's odd. The id's are the same, so that cannot be causing trouble. If your coordinates are correct and everything seems to be in order, I don't know what the problem is.
If you are sure everything is correct and it still acts weird, try deleting studio.xnf. I had a problem once that I couldn't figure out, asked help here, posted my skin here, and other people asked "what's wrong, I don't see anything wrong here". Deleting studio.xnf didn't help, reinstalling winamp did. Suddenly everything worked. You can always try that, but make sure your code is right first of course. |

I put the code back in the layout area... Instead of in the Container.. and Added it to player-normal.xml.. and now it seems to work.. If I get close to the edge it'll pull thinger towards eq...
Not sure why it didnt work the first time I tried it in this position. |
