Streaming Trouble

I have set up an internet radio station at my university using SHOUTcast however when i connect i can access the stream from computers on the same network but coming away from university, computers at home will not allow me to listen to the stream.

i was hoping someone could help resolve this problem, i am new to this so basic steps would be appreciated if possible

Chances are that your university network is firewalled to prevent intrusion from the Internet.

You would need to contact the IT staff who manage your university's network for help.

Thanks i'll go and ask for help from there hopefully that will be the problem and it can easily be resolved
