Why does Shoutcast ignores caption title?
Hello,
I'm trying to add "Month of Pop Music" to the end of Artist - Title but no matter what I put there using SAM I get always Artist - Title, any idea? I'm on v2.5.5.733 if it helps. |

It doesn't support it!
![]() DNAS is building the streamtitle only with the id3-tags "artist" and "title" as a string like "artist - title". You can set in the source-config only the "icy-name", but this describes the whole station name like "artist - title (Name of the Station)" and this is not recommended to use it in this way! |

Thanks for the reply!
So in v1 it was possible to enter "artist - title whatever" and it would be properly displayed. Where can I make a suggestion to bring back that option? |

You would need a PAL script in SAM to achieve what you want and they can be tricky to learn...
If you used RadioDJ you could do your own custom stream titles without too much effort. https://djgarybaldy.co.uk/radiodj-st...itle-settings/ |

Thanks! I might try that but it would be huge learning curve not just me but others also and I already paid for SAM.

RadioDJ doesn't have as bigger learning curve as SAM its easy to use once setup.

Since when has a learning curve been a problem?
