how to reset settings?

I need to reset the volume, etc. settings on winamp- I made the mistake of using a bass, etc. enhancing program, which messed up my sound really badly- sounds like it's in afishbowl, the background is really high, etc. I tried undoing the program- didn't work. Re-installing winamp- didn't work. Adjusting presets- didn't work. Help! thanks for tolerating my ineptitude

Just click the on/off button in the equalizer. The hotkey to turn it off is 'O'. But I beleive if you want to reset all the settings, go to C:/Program Files/Winamp/ and delete the file winamp.ini. (Deleting this file will delete many of the Winamp only settings.)

If that doesn't work check it hasn't messed with the equaliser/effects in your sound card's control panel.
