external laptop buttons help

on the outside of my laptop, there are
play, stop, next, back, buttons for media controls

it works for windows media, but it is programmed to work by default..

does anyone now how to set it up so i can use it when I'm using Winamp?

its a hassle to have to minimize what I'm doing to change the song

if someone knows how to fix this, please post!
it'll be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried Global Hotkeys?
Winamp > Ctrl+P (for Preferences) > General Preferences > Global Hotkeys

No luck? What is your laptop brand?
